According to Maya Angelou, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” Marketing in Color’s newest Social Media Specialist, Amanda Molinaro, has been using creativity all her life. With a passion for reading, language, and performing at poetry readings, it was only natural that she gravitated towards a B.A. degree in English Creative Writing at USF.

Amanda was born in Walnut Creek, CA and arrived in Tampa at the age of ten with her family. While she didn’t have a choice about the move, as an adult she opted to stay for the balmy weather, the fun activities around the town, and to be near the people she loves.
She has worked a variety of jobs starting as a teenager: video rental attendant, dry cleaner, frozen yogurt salesperson, Publix cashier and her favorite, community journalist, which gave her the opportunity to interview local businesses and rub elbows with Tampa’s VIPs. Most recently, she was at Bisk Education where she was an intern, SEO Technician, and Social Media Strategist.
At MIC, Amanda’s responsibilities include developing compelling content for clients, conducting ongoing outreach to optimize clients’ websites, and creating insightful reports using social media platforms Google Analytics, and other tools. “Amanda is a great addition to our department and MIC family. She has extensive experience with social media marketing, and she’s an SEO guru,” states Project Manager, Courtney Peffley.
What does Amanda think of her new employer? “I’m very impressed by how professional, organized, and laid back everyone is around here,” she enthuses. “The culture here is very positive and supportive. It’s really refreshing and inspiring to me.”
In her chill time, Amanda can be found with her German Shepherd Laika and demonic tabby named Junior (after her). A multi-faceted creative talent, she also plays guitar and drums, and writes, records, and listens to new music to feed her muse.
Realistically, she hopes one day to launch an organic, locally-sourced, gourmet toast café. But as a ‘space geek’ her fantasy life involves finding a wormhole and travelling to the other side of the universe like Star Trek. Welcome to the MIC Enterprise, Amanda. May you boldly go where no social media specialist has gone before.
