Here at Marketing In Color, we value hard work and drive. Lucky for us, we have a team that encompasses both. However, sometimes it’s important for us to take some time and value “play” as well, and this is why we occasionally opt for a team happy hour!

Thanks to our Hosts!
On Thursday, September 20th, we all finished our work for the day and caravanned over to nearby Ybor City where Double Decker graciously opened three hours early to have us. We were greeted by three delicious pizzas and a plate of parmesan fries and wings from Due Amici. Needless to say, between some draft beers, handcrafted cocktails, and delicious food, we were bound for a much needed, fun night celebrating our many hours of hard work.
One More Drinkin’ Song
As we all piled into the bar and began sipping on our drinks and indulging in the delicious food, we soon realized that Double Decker offered karaoke. Of course, we absolutely had to participate. Nick Weber our digital marketing specialist, broke the ice with Paul Revere by the Beastie Boys. It all went downhill (or up, depending on how you look at it) from there. And by this, I mean we each broke out into song, none of us sounding all that great. We may be a creative and innovative group of individuals, but we don’t seem to have the gift of song.
We May Not Sing, But We Can Dance
Although, I have to say, we do have some rhythm. With our esteemed colleagues attempting to carry a tune on stage, those of us without a microphone were raising the roof, doing the jitterbug, and shaking our tail-feathers. The doors to the bar stayed open during our entire happy hour, and we definitely had a couple of bystanders laughing at our expense. Did we have a care in the world? Of course not.
Work Hard, Play Hard
We work very hard every day as a cohesive unit. Between each of our departments at MIC, we strive collectively to make each other better and do our best for our clients every day. With that said, we felt deserving of a night filled with laughs and good times. There’s nothing better than getting out of the office with the people you spend eight hours a day with, and letting loose together. It’s safe to say that we all appreciate one another, and spending time bonding outside the walls of Marketing In Color not only betters our performance as a team, but also helps us to connect in order to provide amazing services to our clients. If it was up to me, team happy hour would be a weekly occurrence- hint hint co-founders!
