MIC Client Launches New Energy Savings Website

October 2, 2014

When you’re feeling passionate about your clients, it’s natural to feel passionate about the products and services that they sell. But sometimes marketing is about more than just promoting those specific products and services. It’s about adding value for their clients and customers, and taking it a step further and connecting with the public at large.

Tap into Online Options to Help Grow Business

Marketing In Color has been the marketing partner of Madico Window Films for several years now, and as a true partner, we are always looking for ways to help them grow their business in both traditional and non-traditional ways. One thing we know is that the average consumer has probably never considered buying window film. And the ones that are considering purchasing window film likely turn to the Internet— and you guessed it, Google.

While we recognize one website isn’t going to automatically drive people by the millions (Facebook didn’t even do that in the beginning), we are excited about the launch of a new consumer website that’s already grabbing attention of people in the window film industry. Instead of focusing solely on the benefits of window film, Madico wanted to tap into a bigger pool of prospects—homeowners and property owners across the country.

Energy Savings Website to Reach Larger Consumer Market

While doing our research a few months ago, both Madico and Marketing In Color found that there are surprisingly few quality sites dedicated to energy-saving tips. With that in mind, the concept of Easy Energy Saving Tips was born.

“Like many internal marketing departments, we are constantly looking for cost-effective, interesting ways to increase our brand awareness to the consumer market. When MIC suggested this Easy Energy Saving Tips blog site idea, we jumped at it,” said Angie Leonetti, Madico’s Marketing & Customer Relations Manager.

We know that when you Google “window film” the search produces an endless number of links to everything from major manufacturers, to mom-and-pop window film installers across the country. So Madico wanted something to cut through the clutter, and help its dealers promote their window film businesses.

MIC’s strategy was to create an active website, sponsored by Madico, to draw in customers searching for answers about window film, as well as other solutions to help them save energy in their homes, their businesses, and their vehicles. And while the site isn’t intended to sell any products directly, it does connect consumers to various Madico window film brands and their dealers through exposure on the blog.

Easy Energy Savings Tips Website is Live

While MIC’s creative team was working on design and development of the new site, the account service team worked closely with Madico to develop and implement blog writing and social media sharing strategies. And now, www.easyenergysavingtips.com is live and traffic to the site is increasing every week!

“We can better reach the consumer market by educating them not only on our product but we can act as an “expert” resource on the general topic of energy savings – which is a big issue these days. We can also drive leads directly to our business customers and help them increase their exposure,” Leonetti said.

TV’s ‘How It’s Made’ Features MIC Client, and a Trade Publication Feature Story Follows

March 19, 2014

Here’s a bit of limelight that fell recently upon a Marketing In Color client, and we’re excited to share it. Madico Window Films manufactures laminating and coating solutions for glass. The day after Christmas, the Science Channel’s television show How It’s Made aired a segment featuring Madico’s window film manufacturing process, which SC filmed in the St. Petersburg, FL plant.

Angie Leonetti, Madico’s Marketing & Customer Relations Manager (and one of MIC’s favorite peeps), talked with Window Film™ Magazine about the How It’s Made episode, and – wait for it – how it was made. Go to page 30 of the January/February issue (page 32 of the pdf) to read Angie’s take on Madico’s experience as they were selected, and then prepared and completed an actual production run of a Madico window film, for shooting by SC’s film crew.

Congratulations to Angie and everyone at Madico! We’re thrilled to see a favorite client, with a very capable spokesperson, starring in an episode of an uber-interesting TV show. At MIC, that’s our kind of trifecta!

Marketing In Color Presents at Sunscape Window Film Dealer Conference

March 1, 2013

Madico Window Films, Inc. held a Dealer Conference February 20-22 at the Tradewinds Island Beach Resort in St. Petersburg, Florida. The conference took place to inform, educate, and entertain dealers of Madico’s Sunscape® window film product line. tradewinds-conferenceMarketing In Color (MIC) worked closely a year ago with Madico to conceive and develop the Sunscape brand, a high-end line of window films manufactured for sale and installation by a select group of dealers. With that fruitful collaboration in mind, Madico’s marketing director asked MIC president Cheryl Parrish to design a presentation for Sunscape dealers, covering online marketing strategies. Parrish and MIC Account Supervisor/Social Media Director Liane Caruso gave such a presentation on Thursday morning of the three-day conference. To about one hundred Sunscape dealers, spouses, and business partners, Parrish and Caruso taught a crash course on elements of marketing via the internet that no business can afford to ignore today. These included search engine optimization, the use of social media platforms, blogging, capturing email addresses, and using online directory listings. A question-and-answer session followed MIC’s presentation, and it was here that the depth of interest in internet marketing among the dealers emerged. Parrish and Caruso took and answered questions across the topics they spoke about, right up until the time came for the next presenter to take the microphone. Marketing In Color thanks Jeffrey Plummer, Angie Leonetti, and Mike Byrd of Madico for the opportunity to meet and educate the Sunscape dealers at the conference.

“Film Clips” Blog Aims To Shed Light Through SUN-GARD Window Film and Its Dealer Network

October 29, 2010

Madico Window Films (formerly Solamatrix) has launched an online blog called “Film Clips,” produced and curated by Marketing In Color (Tampa, Florida). The goals of the blog are two-fold. One is to feature interesting stories about window film and the positive impact it can have in automotive and architectural applications. The other is to feature Madico’s many field installers who sell and install Madico’s SUN-GARD brand. The blog is an adjunct to the previously released, SUN-GARD website, that was also produced by Marketing In Color. “Blogging is a critical part of search engine optimization,” say Herb Young, Marketing In Color Vice President of Business Development. “Active websites make Google happy when determining page rank, and the easiest way to keep websites active is through the practice of blogging. Blogs also provide an excellent platform from which to push content through your Facebook Brand Page and Twitter.”
